Are IT professionals more into Social Media sites than those in other industries?

It is well established that each successive generation uses social media and networking sites to a significantly greater extent than the previous one.
However, do you as an IT professional (of whatever age group) use Facebook / LinkedIn / MySpace / twitter / ning and blogging sites more than your colleagues or friends who have not grown up with IT as a second language?
